Jiani Lin is a Composer, Researcher, performer, and educator specializing in contemporary, classical, and experimental music. As an active creator and pianist in composition, Lin won First Prize at the 2026 Clementi International Music Competition in the original composition category for her solo piano piece, Crystal Fractures. Her compositional philosophy revolves around atonal music and innovative orchestration, and is dedicated to exploring the instrument's extreme expressiveness. Her piano performance has also received recognition at several international events, including the Platinum Prize at the 2025 European Winter Music Competition, as well as high honors at the Berlioz, Schubert, and Bach international music competitions.
In addition to performance, Lin is an in-depth researcher dedicated to the field of music education and classical music. Her work examines digital creativity, the integration of technology into arts curricula, and the evolution of solo piano literature. She has presented her findings at the International Conference on Arts in Society at Carnegie Mellon University and at the University of Athens, Greece, and her research has been published in the International Journal of Music Science, Technology and Art.
